Your gift of time directly serves our students in-need. We’re actively seeking volunteers to help sort, fold and organize clothing items in our Dracut Distribution Center headquarters - benefiting roughly 32,000 students in MA and NH. Your time will help us increase the confidence and school attendance of children living in poverty.
Volunteer and Help us Collect and Process Donations
Throughout the week, generous members of our community bring their new and gently used donations to our Dracut Distribution Center. Volunteers help sort through the many bags and boxes we receive, looking for any stains, rips, inappropriate messaging or style, and out-of-style clothing. Volunteers may also be asked to fold or hang items once processed. Please note that we can only accommodate a maximum of 15 volunteers on each Donation Day.
Where we meet:
19 School Street, Dracut, MA 01826
When we meet:
1st and 3rd Saturday

Who can help?
Anyone over the age of 13!
What happens after I sign up?
A member of the Catie’s Closet team will receive your application and review it. Once you have been accepted, you are able to schedule which Saturdays you would like to volunteer your time. If you would like to check availability for a specific day, please contact Bethany McNamara at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a training or orientation that I need to do before I volunteer?
Nope! We make is easy! All you have to do is show up for your shift and a Volunteer Coordinator will explain the process and what items to be looking for.
What if I have a larger group that I would like to bring in?
FANTASTIC! We’re happy to have you! In order to best accommodate your group, please contact Bethany McNamara at email@example.com with the number of volunteers that you are planning to have and we’ll be sure you’re taken care of!
What are your corporate volunteer opportunities?
Great question! Catie's Closet encourages all corporate and business volunteer teams of 10 or less to participate in a great employee engagement opportunity! In order to best accommodate your group, please contact Bethany McNamara at firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of volunteers that you are planning to have and we’ll be sure you’re taken care of!
What if I don’t know much about fashion?
That’s okay! A Catie’s Closet Volunteer Coordinator will be there to train you! They’ll explain which specific styles and trends are popular amongst our students. They’ll also teach you what donations align with our mission and which do not.
What if I can’t stay for the entire time?
That’s not a problem! We understand how busy life can be! We are thankful for your help!
Can I bring donations with me to sort?
Of course!! The more, the merrier!
