The Privacy Policy explains how Catie’s Closet may collect, use, and disclose information we obtain through our website or application.
Catie’s Closet understands and upholds the importance of privacy of each of our donors and supporters. We maintain the highest level of confidentiality concerning our donors’ and supporters’ contact and financial information. All online and offline financial or in-kind transactions with Catie’s Closet are considered by this policy and are conducted over secure portals. Access to any donor information is password-protected and limited to authorized Catie’s Closet employees.
What We Collect
Catie’s Closet collects the following personal information from donors: donor name(s), amount donated, email address, phone number, mailing address, amount donated and other metadata about the transaction such as date, payment method and transaction ID’s, as well as product donation information.
Additionally, financial donors provide standard payment information including credit or debit card information. Your information is protected through several measures such as encryption, access controls, network firewalls and physical security. We also work with iDonate to process credit card transactions – more information about their security and disclosure of information can be found here.
We collect Personal Information when you:
- register to use the Catie’s Closet app;
- use the Catie’s Closet app;
- communicate with us;
- sign up for our email list;
- sign up to receive text messages; or
- make a donation
How We Use Donor Information
Donor and supporter information is used for internal purposes only. Catie’s Closet does not sell, share, trade or lease personally identifiable donor information or the information of any constituents we engage with in any way, nor do we send mailing to our donors on behalf of other organizations. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
Donor/supporter information will only be used by Catie’s Closet staff to:
- Provide timely receipts and acknowledgements for donations received;
- Inform donors about current and upcoming activities, including opportunities to further support Catie’s Closet
- Track and analyze donor information
- Comply with all rules and regulations governing 501(c)(3) financial reporting as well as any requirements related to specific grants or contributions
- Share the information you wish: e.g. tribute or announcement information, comments, etc.
Additional uses by Catie’s Closet staff include:
Communications. We may send email to the email address you provide to us and push notifications to your mobile device if they are enabled to verify your account and for informational and operational purposes, such as account management, transaction processing, communicating for and about non-profits, customer service, system maintenance, and other Catie’s Closet-related purposes. By using the Catie’s Closet app, you are agreeing to such emails, notifications, and informational telephone calls. You also agree to receive text messages from your financial institutions for the purposes of registering your credit or debit card with us.
Marketing. We may use information, including Personal Information, to provide online advertising on the Catie’s Closet app and to send email or otherwise send you information we think may be useful or relevant to you. You may opt out of email marketing by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email.
You have the right to request that contact information not be used for the purposes of acknowledgement, recognition or further communication from Catie’s Closet.
