Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

At Catie’s Closet, we deeply appreciate our corporate partners who enthusiastically give their time to our mission. Our company offers volunteer initiatives to support local businesses in reaching their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and employee engagement goals, make a difference as a team, and help us ensure our Closets and SOS orders are filled with clothing kids love.

Minimum age requirement:
Based on Distribution Center location

Benefit:
Engage in a fun and impactful team-building experience.

Suggested donation:
When your team joins us to give back as a company, participating volunteers will help sort clothing donated by our generous community members.

We receive hundreds of bags of donations each week. Volunteer groups are essential to helping us process donations in a timely manner. Participate in this team-building experience as your colleagues work together to sort clothing by size, gender, and clothing type, which will help our team distribute clothing to children in need.

When your company is ready to volunteer to provide clothing for students, contact our Director of Strategic Partnerships, Bethany Welch, at bethany@catiescloset.org.

Time commitment:
1-2 hours per week or every other week

Schedule:
Monday-Friday during school hours, flexible schedule

Benefit:
Exemplify your company’s commitment to the community you serve.

Limited to four individuals per group

Closet Champions are vital to the operation of our in-school closets!

Volunteering as Closet Champions is a perfect opportunity for your team members to work inside our closets and prepare them for students’ shopping experiences.

Closet Champions visit their assigned closet weekly or bi-weekly to ensure it is clean, organized, and well-stocked so students can shop for what they need in a safe, welcoming environment.

Your team members who sign up to be Closet Champions can split the responsibilities and closet visits amongst themselves, or each team member can pick a closet to manage. This arrangement is perfect for one individual or up to four team members.

We provide forms and training to ensure each Closet Champion is comfortable with the position.

This role offers a flexible schedule! Champions can choose when to visit their closet as long as it is during the school day, Monday through Friday.

Cost:

Benefit:

Host an exciting and engaging team-building event from the convenience of your office, with all materials delivered right to you.

Hosting a clothing drive to support Catie’s Closet is an opportunity for your team to provide clothing to local children in need. Your office can collect new or gently used items, which will be distributed to children through our In-School Closet Program and SOS Urgent Response Program.

You can learn more about hosting a drive with your company here.

Once you’ve completed your drive, you can use our Processing Party Kit to bring the volunteer experience of sorting clothing donations to your office!

The kit includes processing instructions and color-coded materials to make your Processing Party a fun, engaging team-building experience. Just like if you were to sort donations at our Distribution Center, your team would sort clothing by gender and type. Your efforts will help us get ahead in our donation process and distribute items to children in a timely manner.
