Hope & Comfort announces expanded partnership with Catie’s Closet, as we launch an 8 week project to supply summer hygiene needs.

We have worked with Hope and Comfort since 2016, and most recently during the COVID-19 distribution of toiletries this past March. As mealsites will increase during the summer, Hope & Comfort has committed to supplying 10,000 units of deodorant, 75,000 units of soap (100% of our summer soap needs), 30,000 toothbrushes, 20,000 toothpaste, about 1,700 units of mouthwash. This will make a significant difference in being able to supply the total needs of our current demands from our local emergency sites.

Hope and Comfort’s mission is to provide essential hygiene products to support and improve the health, self-esteem, and hygiene education of school-aged children and young adults in need within Greater Boston. Their vision is that one day everyone living in the US will have access to essential hygiene products to feel clean, confident, and healthy. They carry out their mission by working with a distribution network that includes youth-serving and community organizations. These organizations, such as Catie’s Closet, distribute the products to children and adults who currently go without.

We are so proud to partner with an organization that recognizes the urgency of supporting the basic needs of our children and families, and the impact that has on positive self-esteem.
