As of today, Catie’s Closet has delivered over 300,000 units of essential products at the emergency sites of our partner schools across MA and NH. It is an impressive number, but what matters the most to us is the meaning of it, the difference that it makes.  Before embarking in collecting the toiletries and the specific support that is needed across our beneficiaries, we question what it is that would make these donations meaningful and dignifying? Is it a quick turn-around, attractive merchandise, a fast delivery?

Well, these are all contributing factors in making it a good experience, but there is one thing that stands out for us…to provide best quality products that make our students and families feel appreciated in every way. We want them to feel that we, and the donors we represent, care. That we listen and that we incorporate that formula into every step we take. We care when we learn about the needs, when we select the products, we will be handing out, and when we collaborate to deliver them.  We believe that caring makes all the difference

This is why we are all so immensely happy and touched by the reaction we got from the committed front line volunteers who hand out meals and toiletries at the emergency sites in Springfield, where we have delivered over 11,000 units of toiletries as of today.

“Springfield Public Schools is grateful for the partnership with Catie’s Closet. Families have been so appreciative of the toiletries, many commenting on the quality of the name brand products you’re supplying.  That makes a difference to people, seeing quality brand names versus the miscellaneous toiletry products families get through pantries. They know if the shampoo or conditioner will work with their hair or toothpaste, they know their dentist recommends. We are consistently seeing over 3,000 families a day in need of the emergency meals, and the parents and grandparents picking up meals have expressed waves of relief at the array of personal products you’ve made available.” Abby- Student Engagement manager for Home Grown Springfield.

“At Sodexo, we are proud to partner with organizations like Catie’s Closet. When picking up their meals each day, families are also receiving toiletries and everyday essentials donated by Catie’s Closet. Often times they are surprised by the variety and the quality of goods provided. The heartfelt gratitude that we receive from these families is invaluable, and it couldn’t have been accomplished without the support of Catie’s Closet. On behalf of Sodexo, our staff, and the families of Springfield, THANK YOU!!!”- Lydia Rodriguez, Program Specialist Sodexo Food Services – Springfield Public Schools
