Catie’s Closet welcomes youth volunteers, and we love it when children help other children! That’s why we offer volunteer opportunities for teens looking to earn community service hours or simply give back to the community.

High School Student Ambassador Program
The Catie’s Closet Ambassador program offers leadership opportunities for teens while helping students in need and furthering the mission of Catie’s Closet.
The responsibilities of a High School Ambassadors include:
Ambassadors help build a movement of kids helping kids, one school at a time. This is excellent volunteer experience to add to college applications or job resumes!

Being an Ambassador allows me to impact and improve so many of my peers’ lives (others my age), which is my ultimate goal as an Ambassador. It also gives me the power and courage to share the Catie’s Closet message with so many others. When you help your community, you not only give others a sense of happiness, but you yourself should feel happiness knowing you have helped others be happier, and by being an ambassador, I get to know, share, and feel this all the time! Helping an organization like Catie’s Closet there is no lose, there are only gains and that’s what I love about Catie’s Closet!
Being an Ambassador is great because I am able to work more closely with Catie’s Closet, and therefore have a greater impact on the children in need in my community. I love watching how my efforts in organizing clothing drives translate to the magnitude of clothes I am able to donate, and it is great to spread awareness so more people can get involved with Catie’s Closet’s mission.
This is my first year working as a high school ambassador for Catie’s Closet. Through my role, I have learned the importance of giving back and giving in general to each and every one of our communities. Whether it’s socks, jackets, or even hygiene products, everyone deserves to feel warm and safe in our city even if their families do not have direct access to these essential products. With Catie’s Closet’s vast supply of resources, children in our city are able to stay secure and protected no matter their own situation. I enjoy watching my school come together and donate large amounts of items to my drives all with the intent of benefiting others who need the help. In my experience, I have learned how blessed and fortunate I am to have myself a winter coat and basic hygiene products that most are in desperate need of. Catie Closet continues to show and teach me how much I have and to never take any of it for granted.
