Become a Closet Champion
Closet Champions are vital to the operation of our In-School Closets! This is a perfect opportunity to work right inside our closets and be a part of students’ shopping experiences within their school’s Closet.
As a Closet Champion, you will visit your assigned closet weekly or bi-weekly to ensure the Closet is clean, organized, and well-stocked so students can shop for what they need in a safe, welcoming environment.
We provide forms and training to ensure each Closet Champion is comfortable with the position.
This role offers a flexible schedule! You can choose the hours you visit your closet during the school day, Monday through Friday.
Time commitment:
1-2 hours per week or every other week
Schedule:
Monday-Friday during school hours, flexible schedule
Here is what a few of our Closet Champions have to say:
“I wanted to help Catie’s Closet in their goal to create an environment where students could fit in and feel accepted, feel more confident, and thrive without the distraction of feeling “less than” because they had little or no access to the clothing and items they need.”
“[I hope] to significantly improve the lives and well-being of our students in need, by providing them with clothing and hygiene items, etc., and helping to restore/preserve their dignity.”
“It is amazing to have such a plentiful and unending resource for our students in need, and I am very happy I am able to be part of this by contributing my time.”
