Who is ALKU Foundation?

The ALKU Foundation builds meaningful partnerships with nonprofit organizations that create and promote positive change in the lives of young people and their Massachusetts communities.

We support youth-serving programs that promote equity and social progress to build future leaders and a brighter future for our communities.

We practice trust-based philanthropy and believe relationships drive impact. Our model means we strive to reduce the burden for nonprofit partners, making it easier for them to deliver on their mission.

When two missions align, more students gain in-school access to basic necessities

Catie’s Closet’s mission resonates with us here at the ALKU Foundation, and we genuinely believe they are promoting equity and equality through their programs.

Their closets remove the visible sign of poverty and allow each student to choose their clothes.

With the freedom to express themselves and a vision beyond the barriers they face, students can apply themselves and excel in school, during play, and in their communities.

Therefore, the opportunity to support this work and directly fund building a new closet at a school that wouldn’t otherwise have a Catie’s Closet felt important and essential.

Promoting uniqueness and individuality, starting with their ALKrew

ALKU promotes uniqueness and individuality by allowing everyone to bring the best version of themselves every time they walk through our doors.

Have Fun Working Hard ® is a lifestyle that resonates with all of our employees as we encourage you to enjoy what you do, how you do it, and who you do it with!

Spreading the Be Me Movement and creating a world of tolerance and understanding

To Be Me at ALKU means being the best version of yourself every day! Using each day as a building block to continue growing as a professional and a person.

It’s seeing the best in yourself to allow yourself to build confidence, set goals, and take those goals to unimaginable heights!

Everyone makes mistakes, no one is going to be perfect 100 percent of the time, and that’s okay! In life, we all have those people who we can look to when we need guidance and support. That’s why at ALKU, every employee has a mentor who helps them through their challenges in order to reach their full potential.
